What is this part?

Located near passenger side fender under the hood, far left corner. Has one white wire feeding into what looks like a solenoid of some kind. The white wire is dry rotted on my truck and possibly been chewed on my mice.
Thanks for replies!

I only see one arrow that he placed. Looks to me like the vacuum motor that controls the fresh air/ re-circulation door/

Sorry, for the last confusing picture...here is another, part is circled in red. The white wire that goes into the motor on my truck has been chewed through or dry rotted. Doesn’t appear to have any copper wire running through it either

Re: What is this part?

that white wire is a vacuum line, and the "motor" is a vacuum actuator for the ac/heat system.

Copy that! Thanks!! I assume that I can just replace the line then. All the ac/defrost/heat functions still work excellent though...

Re: What is this part?

yup, just replace it with a piece of small vacuum line. if i remember correctly, that line is either 1/8 inch or 3/16

The white line is for Normal & Max A/C operation.

You have to chase it back down the harness and find a good end.

There is a kit specifically made to fix this issue.

Thanks a bunch for the replies! My white line has a huge gap in it so i need to replace it. Looks like it goes deep in the firewall attached to the other wires with it. Any harm in running the truck for awhile without replacing it?

Nope. Just will not be able to operate Max A/C.
