Dead end need help

Hey y'all, I'm new to PSN, I'm on here searching for some help. I have a 97 PWRS F350 manual 4x4 (Stock No Mods). From the beginning.... Rolling home and and it shut down. Stopped tried to restart just turned over, no start. I let it cool for around 30min, checked obvious things, oil, connections, fuel pump pressure ect all normal. 2nd crank attempt fired up went on down the road 2.5 miles died again, I was able too roll start to keep going enough to pull in a auto parts store. Had them plug into port, code reader would not respond with truck. The truck is at a shop with a CFMT, work/trouble shooting so far: battery, starter, alt, fuses relays, fuel oil pump checked new valve cover harness. Mech found that the PCM was shot. Put a spare matched PCM in and truck worked. Ordered a referb PCM installed and communicating. Now truck turns over, no start and check engine is flashing dim. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Dead end need help

Was the mechanic able to get any codes from the old PCM? Do a good visual harness check for damaged wires and maybe disconnect the PCM and check the connector pins and the PCM's pins as well. Cheers!
