HPOP on 94.5?

Buddy and I are swapping a 94.5 7.3 PSD into his crew long and before we heli coil the HPOP mounting holes on the reservoir we want to know what year of 7.3 should we rob the HPOP off of for his truck as I know the newer ones are better than the 94.5s. TI

Re: HPOP on 94.5?

If you go swapping years, you'll need to fiddle with the anti drainback valve.
So keep it 94.5, or buy one from an reputable rebuilder, and they can do the mods for you. A hpop isn't "that much." Cheaper than a turbo. Lol

Re: HPOP on 94.5?

unless u change the front cover and reservoir u have to use a 94.5 to 95 antidrainback pump. The newer pump don't have the antidrainback and won't work on the older engines.

Re: HPOP on 94.5?

Doesn't involve the front cover at all. Can all be done in the pump.

It would, but you will have to notify Joey at Terminator what you are trying to accomplish.
