6R140 to 7.3?

What would it take to mate these two together? Anyone done this yet? The notion here is a stand alone controller, but not familiar with bell housing configuration etc etc. My understanding the 6R140 is a pretty robust tranny in stock format and would handily manage out puts even from a spiffy 7.3.

Thanks,

j

Re: 6R140 to 7.3?

u would need a fly wheel that bolts to the 7.3l crank and the 6r torque converter. an adaperter plate to bolt to the 7.3l and to the 6r bellhousing. then u would need a trans controller that can controller the 6r plus shifter cable or custom shifter. plus drive shafts will have to be made to go from the 6r to the 7.3l

And don't forget new trans tunnel in the floor for that big trans and a new mount to hold it smaller exhaust to squeeze past it. and who knows what else.

Even if you can get it to bolt up. Nobody has an aftermarket controller to run it.
