No tach

My truck has been apart for ~8 months and while it was I took the gauge cluster apart to convert to blue LED’s. Finally plugged it in a day or so ago and everything works but the tach. I have the infinity from DP tuner (plugs into OBD II port) and it reads the rpm, which makes me believe the issue is in the cluster/ dash and not the CPS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: No tach

I would check the continuity of the White/Pink Stripe wire from the tach to the PCm connector pin 50 (97 Federal truck) or pin 19 (97 California truck). Cheers!

Just getting on here to post an update: check the fuses. I had no O/D light or function, no cruise, no tach, some of the other dummy gauges weren’t working. Come to find out it was just a little 10A fuse. I thought they were all separate since I have had the truck completely apart, but that’s what it was.
