7.3 starts great runs rough when warm

97 f250 quite the other day ,the way it quit made me think fuel filter . Changed fuel filter and oil and filter while at it . Truck wouldn't start finally got it going after a long crank but it ran nasty rough. At this point thought it might be cps as I've never changed it so changed it out . At this point truck was cold and fired right up and ran and sounded fine until it warmed up then ran rough and would die if throttle was applied quickly but could get it to rev if east up rpm. Does same think on both fuel tanks . Unplugged icp made no difference. Suggestions/help appreciated.

I'd check the fuel pressure, especially when the engine is under a load. A weak fuel pump or an obstruction in the fuel line to the tanks might allow enough fuel for the engine to idle and run when the fuel demands are light, but cause the engine to falter when the fuel demand rises under load.
