speedo drops out to the right

this just started, its done it twice. Im on my daily commute and cruising at about 70 - 75 mph, the speedo will fall all the way to the right and my odometer (digital) does blank ... all other gauges are reading normal...about 2 seconds later, they drop back to normal... anyone had this problem .... i dont now if its the speedo cable or what but im a little baffled... any thoughts will help

Re: speedo drops out to the right

There is no cable on it. It's all electronic. Usually when this happens it's losing power. Check the fuse for the instrument panel and make sure it's tight. No wires tapped into it. The connection on the back of the instrument cluster could be loose too.
