96 350 died while driving, #22 maxi fuse blown

After it died wts light doesn't come on. New fuse didn't fix it. I've been searching but all results are about no starts from go relay, not about dying while running.

Unplug the fuel bowl heater off of the filter housing. It is the middle connector and you might need to use a screwdriver to get it off. Then just tape up the end and don't worry about it.

If that didn't fix it then you are going to have to start tracing wiring to find where it is shorting out at. That fuse only controls a few things and here they are: Fuel Line Heater, 215 Amp Generator/Voltage Regulator, PCM Power Relay Coil, Glow Plug relay

Updating, the #22 fuse was already blown when I pulled the connector to the fuel heater, must have blown as soon as I put it in.

I bridged the fuse connectors. Still no wts light.

Gp relay clicks when bridged.

Pcm relay tested good with the horn test.

I've inspected all the wires I can see before I pull the underhood fuse panel out and look under it and don't see any shorting.

I assume by shorting you mean a wire with insulation worn through that can touch metal?

Will a bad pcm pop this fuse?

Try unhooking the gpr. Also for grins. Unplug the icp and the ebps and inspect the ipr wiring
