IPR question

wheres the ipr sensor located

1999 CB f350 dually
1995 STD f350 dually flatbed

On the rear of the HPOP on the drivers side of it.

Since you mentioned sensor, your question can be taken a couple of ways, so maybe this will lessen any confusion (or maybe not depending on my attempt at an explanation):

The Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) is a solenoid-controlled valve that is used to control the pressure in the High Pressure Oil system. It is on the rear of the HPOP as stated above

The Injection Control Pressure (ICP) sensor is the sensor that signals the truck's PCM what the pressure is in the HP Oil system so that the PCM can command the IPR valve how to regulate the HP oil pressure. It is on the front, top of the driver's side head coming out at about a 45 degree angle.

how did you know the IPR was bad?was there a code or something.

is there any way to clean a ipr or test to see if i bad other then a scanner.

You can clean it, put new o-rings in it and re-install, was the tin nut on the back of it tight?
