Re: slave cylinder

Get a beer, get in truck pump pedal till beer is gone. Get another beer, Bleed cylinder. These darn things should be installed and then pumped like 50 times to do someting magic. I know it sounds stupid but i was told by an old timer to do it that way and has been great for me. I have done about a dozen of these in different trucks. Someone else may have something better but that is my fail safe.

Re: slave cylinder

I usually take the cylinder off the transmission, and point it so the line is on the top, then start working the rod in and out. that should get the majority of the air out of the cylinder. then put it back on the transmission and finish bleading it with the screw.

Re: slave cylinder

First I unhook the master cylinder rod from the pedal linkage (more important step than you might think). Then I unclip the slave from the bellhousing, make sure everything is pointing uphill and cycle the slave slowly by hand about ten times or so. Reinstall slave and reconnect master rod. It's worked for me every time. Cheers!
