Front disk breaks locked up

I have a 97 f250 4x4 I left the house the other day and didn't make it far till I smelt breaks by the time I stopped they was smoking both sides and the break peddle was gone I drove it back to the house and checked it the next day and still no peddle what do could it be

Check the fluid level in the reservoir, and then start taking things apart in the front brakes. Caliper piston boots could be bad (or gone) allowing brake dust to bind up the pistons, brake hoses could have collapsed internally and not allow brake fluid to return to the system, and other possibilities as well. You won't know until you get into it. Cheers!

Weird. Crack a bleeded loose and see if the fluid spurts out on not.

It's weird ass hell that the pedal is soft, yet the brakes are stuck. It'll be interesting to see what this turns out to be.
