Weird popping noise from rear

Very strange situation. I've noticed now after it rains while taking a right hand turn or pulling into driveways there is a loud pop coming from the rear of the truck. It only does it during and after rain. Believing the rain is lubing something allowing it to move. I have crawled under and noticed the rear sway bar can be moved side to side about a inch or two and coming into contact with a ear on the drive side of the axle. Anyone seen this before

Do you have a limited slip rear end?

No. I don't believe I do. You can't feel it while you driving. Only able to hear it like something is hitting.

Re: Weird popping noise from rear

Look on the sticker on the drivers side door jamb and check the axle code on this site to find out.

What rear end ratio is in my Ford , do I have positraction? - Drivetrain

Re: Weird popping noise from rear

I don't believe it's a issue with the rear. If it did it all the time I would be leaning more towards that. I notice it alot while pulling into a gas station and the suspension articulates because of the uphill entrance

Re: Weird popping noise from rear

Perhaps have a friend walk behind your truck and look underneath it when this is happening to see if they can see anything twisting causing it.

I once had a mechanic ride on some running boards as I drove down the road to figure something out on a company truck.
