Re: Obs powerstroke bullnose swap??

not sure what your question is.

if you are asking if you can swap sheet metal on different year trucks, the answer is yes.
but you will need to use the complete nose. fenders, radiator support, grill, hood, bumper, and sometimes cowl.
and on some you may have to drill new holes in the frame to mount the bumper.

Nice looking truck. Hmmm. Rather have that look than mine lol. How far back can you go for interchangeability? To bad i never thought of this before, the father in law got rid of an 85 f150 a few months ago

Re: Obs powerstroke bullnose swap??

now you are speaking my language, front clip conversions!
I love the 80-86 front clip more than my current 97 OBS front clip...someday

Also this is an interesting option:
Retro One-Piece Fits: 80-96 Bronco - FiberwerX Off Road Fiberglass

Says its made from metal? or the prototype truck has metal I cannot tell but its $950
nothing like just setting your whole front end on the ground, easy access to those up pipe bolts

Yup definitly got me thinking i need to find a early 80's bronco or truck and swap over the front. And 410 your comment has me thinking of a plan for once i get my garage done and truck torn down.

86 and older, then 87 and newer.
it is way too much work to make a 86 and older gate work on a 87 and newer bed. or the opposite way.
86 older uses a hoop latch system, 87 and newer used a pin latch

A 1971 Ford F-250 Hiding 1997 Secrets - Frankenstein?s Monster

With an OBS Power Stroke engine, firewall, radiator carrier, inner fenders, hood supports, and even hood hinges, it’s hard to tell from looking at the engine bay that this isn’t a ninth-generation Ford F-Series. It even uses most of the same auxiliaries and pumps as an OBS Ford. A Bully Dog chip takes care of engine management, but the rest of the powertrain, including its turbo, exhaust, intake, and direct fuel injection, is stock.

Interesting
