I have a 1996 F250 with 7.3 L Powerstroke, 306K on miles, fresh oil change level is good. New wiring harnesses, pig tails, glow plugs, fuel bowl, fuel pump and turbo, all new up top except injectors and glow plugs. plugs were changed 2 years ago, injectors tested with 1 and 8 noted on high.
Has drove a great for a week with good fuel, today while sitting at light, truck died, took a couple of minutes to sit then multiple starts, sounding like it was starving for fuel, finally cranked. Drove about 3 more miles went to pul in parking space, died again with same start back procedure.
I am thinking of replacing the CPS
, which the last one was after market, not Motorcraft. I believe the UVCH and IPR
are good but not sure.
