Replacing U Joints on rear shaft

I have a 97 F250 CCSB 4wd and I want to replace the three u joints beginning at the back of the transfer case. Do I need to unbolt the carrier bearing in order to pull both pieces of the rear drive shaft down?

Re: Replacing U Joints on rear shaft

Do I need a special tool to replace the support bearing? I read online that some people use a double/triple jaw puller to pull that bearing out.
