95 f350 cali emissions 84k mile truck
just picked up a 95 f350 4 door socal truck no rust only 84k miles but it has build codes of of emooc andemc for cali emissions compliant. I am in Missouri so that is not needed it is my first diesel truck. what does the cali emissions consist of on these trucks?can it be tuned out with software or is there some mechanical devices that need to go also.This truck is stock as a rock.

There were no different California emmissions controls on a '95.

California-specific differences did not start until late-1996 with the introduction of splitshot injectors and some corresponding programming and fuel system changes. Even more changes in 1997 with PCMs with different pin-outs, glowplug monitoring circuits, etc. Cheers!

The california emissions trucks were actually capable of making more power than the 49-state trucks, due to larger injectors. The 96 was the best year due to very little differences in PCM's or wiring compared to the 49-state trucks.
A 95 "california" truck just means it was sold in Cali. I think.
Like Patrick said, the "California emissions" models didnt start till late-96.

good deal thanks guys. this truck is very clean except for the carpet needs replaced,this poor truck had a large lance 2200 lb camper on it for 17 years...

hahahahaha. so iam thinking of 3 inch down pipe 4 inch exhaust,235 85 16 tires, and a 6 position chip.
