F-350 "97 OBS Crew Build up

I bought this truck May 12th for $1250 has 350k on the ODO motor and trans are "rebuilt" had 3 different tires, no A/C, missing back seat, missing bed, missing front bumper but she drove great on the 70 mile trip home. I will update with pictures of my progress on this gem. My first Powerstroke and I love it!

Re: F-350 "97 OBS Crew Build up

So Far I have:
-Started fabricating an front bumper with "scrap" metal, actively working that out
-Got some new shoes 37 MTRs $400 for the set with rusty white rims I'm starting to like that look
-Troubleshot A/C down to High Pressure switch 14 dollars for new one charged it up and works like a ford A/C should
-Picked up a long bed that I had to cut 13.5 inches out of to make it fit $250
-Actively looking for an upgraded interior for $500 or less, King Ranch would be cool
-Took her out in the pasture to feel at home with the cows

More to come!

Re: F-350 "97 OBS Crew Build up

I'll bet that truck has a supercab frame, and the front mounts are on body lifts. A long bed is a long bed, and if that truck were born as a CCLB, the bed you bought should have fit. The SCLB frame is shorter than the CCLB frame by..... 13.4 inches.

Tires/rims were a good deal, if they have as much meat as appears in the pics.

Dog seems happy....

Tires have about 90% tread. Vin comes out as an 1 ton XL Crew Cab 2wd. I knew it used to be 2wd because of the Dana 50 up front 1 ton would have had a 60. I can look for the frame stamp.

Bed fitted.

I've got everything to make your truck a factory xlt, less window motors and regulators. Color is red.

That bumper looks pretty good so far

I thought the F250 CC's came in a short bed too? Just not the F350? Doesn't explain why your F350 needs a foot shorter bed...

Anyone can slap a f350 body on a f250 ccsb frame which would explain the d50 up front.

But it looks like a great start to build!

That's what I'm thinking. If I think about it I'll look for the frame stamp. I hope to have bumper done this weekend. Collecting parts to tighten up that sloppy steering.

You have rear seat, dash, and door panels?

Re: F-350 "97 OBS Crew Build up

Dash, door panels, full body harness, cab roof light harness, deluxe visors and harness, whole 9 less the seats. Switches and all that jazz. Has a dealer installed alarm system too that was professionally hacked in lol. It's not bad, but it made me giggle after I figured out wtf it was. Only thing that's not built/added into this harness is factory rke. I've got everything for that too, button pads, 2 or 3 harnesses and rke modules, auto down window modules, 8 or 9? If your interested I'll break it all out in the open and shoot you some pictures. The all of the body and secondary harnesses are all packed into a big flip top commercial tote right now.

This was everything I had accumulated to do my truck with, as right as possible.
