Re: WTH IS THIS CALLED?!

I believe that sucker is called the vacuum manifold

The second and third pictures are obviously of a superduty which uses an electric vacuum pump, a vacuum reservoir and a vacuum switch to control the hubs. The vacuum on a superduty is used for hubs and dash functions

On a 94-97 OBS truck the vacuum pump is belt driven, feeds into the vacuum manifold (pic 1) where it splits off to power the vacuum brake booster and again dash functions

The round tuna can looking thing is the low vacuum warning. Turns on the brake warning light.
