Brake lights staying on

Parked the truck last night, got out and noticed the brake lights were on. Stood there for a min trying to figure it out and they went off by themselves. I pressed the pedal again and same thing. I didn't have time to mess with it but I'm assuming it's something to do with the brake switch. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Re: Brake lights staying on

Just a thought - watch the pedal after you take your foot off it, see if it rises a bit after removing your foot. Maybe the m/c or booster is somehow not allowing the pedal to return immediately.

Brake lights staying on

Ended up being the switch, guess it was just sticking. My trailer brake indicator light would stay lit after I released the brake pedal. I could tap the pedal a few times with my foot and it'd go out. Swapped in a new switch and all is well.
