7.3 X TC going out or something else?

2000 X with 195 on the ticker. Pretty new to me and also my first auto diesel. This shifting habit is killing me and probably a few other things on this beast, wastegate noise I do like though. Anyway it shifts 1-2 just fine and 2-3 just fine half the time depending on my right foot. The 3-od seems like it shifts with the TC locked or damn near it every time. Does the same in all weather and cold or hot, load "7000lb trailer" or no load. Help me out guys. I can't find a thread with the same symptoms as this anywhere. I have a video I'm drying to downsize to post here.
