EBPV malfunction??

'96 psd... thirty degrees this morning in sw florida... i gave the truck about fifteen min to warm up. left the house and every time i touched the fuel pedal the EBPV would activate. doesnt matter how light i touched it either. any solutions guys...thanks

It's most likely sticking, best bet would probley be to gut it out. Someone on here can explain it better than I can.

It will stay on with a light throttle until it warms up the oil to the desired temp. If you get on the throttle a bit harder, it should turn off until you are at light throttle. A heavy foot will turn it off. Light foot will keep it on. It is acting perfectly normal.

i unplugged mine when it started sticking 2 years ago never looked back. looking to go with new pedistool and high flow outlet when i upgrade turbos on my 03
