Fuel Leak

hey guys, my 97 is leaking fuel out of the drivers side of the fuel bowl. it looks as though there is a "plug" or something that comes out of the fitting. it comes straight out the side of the fuel bowl assembly. on mine the wire that would have run out of that plug is cut, its been that way since i bought it, and i dont think it has anything to do with it. the fuel is leaking where the fitting meets that black plastic. any idea what that is? i thought maybe a fuel heater plug? if so can i just plug that and remove it completely?

Re: Fuel Leak

I talked to Mike on the phone and it sound like it is the fuel filter restriction sensor. He is gonna plug it until he gets a replacement. Mike if you need one sent to you shoot me an email. I checked and happened to have one in the package in the parts box.
