fuel

hey guys ive read a thread on here about placing a bb in the fuel screw to turn up the fuel, three questions. 1. my truck has 209k miles will this screw up anything 2. will it smoke more 3. my tranny is probably goin to the shop to have a computer diagnostic ran to see whats up will this show up? im a noob no bad comments please i just need to know.(its a 1997)

Ill see if I can find the link. But you put the BB inside the brass hex bolt on the drivers side of the fuel bowl. Thats the regulator .

97 crew cab shorty-4x4 Lots of mods .

search the bb trick it will tell you all you need to know you should be ok. it helps out, one thing to do is check fuel psi before and after

not a chance dont rember how much fuel psi it gives you but no where near enough to do damage

so this wont hurt my motor at all? what about showing up on a computer diagnostic? and will it blow more smoke?

no it wont hurt your motor, the worst that may happen is a fuel line leak. It only raises your psi by 30 lbs or so. I went from 50psi to 80psi. No it wont smoke anymore than it does now, and you wont notice any power gains either. The only thing I really noticed is that it idles alot smoother.

ok thats cool i might just do it here shortly, anythign else you know of that can be a cheap way to make me smoke more and increase my performance? i can take it out right?

Ya, you can take it out. Be a little careful about asking questions about smoke here. Don't ask me why but there are alot of guys that get pissey when you talk smoke. next thing you know you'll have a witch hunt on your hands. Look up the 10k mod in the archives. there are a couple others that you can do pretty cheap too iirc.
