Over drive question

when i go down a long hill should i turn Over-Drive OFF? does it hurt or put extra strain on the transmission? is it ok to do it if im doing say 40 mph at the top of the hill then turn O/D OFF? thanks

New to the E4OD and wondering why not turn if off for engine hold back on hills? Can you not shift it manually when going down hill if you choose as well as use an engine brake?

I would think that gearing, rpm and speed at the time, what your towing would all be factors. With 4.10s at 35 to 50 mph I wouldn't hesitate to hit the off button.
