OBS SUSPENSION

i have a dana 60 front end with stock f250 leafs and one helper leaf. i hate the ride, thinking about doing bronco coil buckets and 79 bronco raidius arms. is this doable ?

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

Man the easiest thing would be RSK kit and SuperDuty Springs

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

rsk will not work with a western utrimount plow set up, thats why i would like to try this. obs wiz has an 08 sd suspension on his obs, but i can not find an 05 to 09 full suspension set up, can you?

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

Please dont waste your money on pulling these items from a donor truck. You can easily build your own suspension setup using brackets and suspensions joints/etc from places like ballistic fabrication and blue torch fabworks

If you have any basic mechanical skill, building your own suspension using a radius arm 3 link/ 5 link/ or double or single triangulated 4 link, will be just as easy as taking items off of another truck and putting them on yours. Plus you will be much happier putting your needs into your design than "modifying" your truck using "oem" equipment.

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

fwiw, if you want to soften the ride a little without the rsk, put stock f-350 springs under the front. f-250 springs will ride worse with a dana 60, especially with helper springs.

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

it is not like a pogo stick more like a cat d3 dozer. the front end has zero flex.

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

cp350.....hahaaa..thats funny I will add in a field of bolders with the D3 dozer hahahaaa

FWIW.....

Had the same suspension...stock IFS with extra leaf and F450 springs in the rear when I got it...mmm rode choppy and too stiff for my liking.....switched to OBS front and rear with Velvet rides, front and rear anti-sways. Put poly bushings in everything but the rear springs. It now handles like and rides awesome....

Why can't it fit the springs with plow mount??

Re: OBS SUSPENSION

I have also looked into do the RSK kit on mine but the way the plow mount is attatched to the frame of the truck it just isn't possible.
