Re: Gas mileage question.

19 gallons each. Total miles per tank depends on whether I'm towing, or if empty, depends how I'm driving it. I have gotten well over 300 miles out of one tank, IIRC, when driving the speed limit....

Re: Gas mileage question.

On my long box truck I have gotten a little bit less than 22 gallons into the front tank and 19 in the rear. My millage won't help you since I am usually loaded when I am driving and really care abut the millage along with having a 4:10 rear end and being a 4x4. But you really need to figure it out using the miles driven divided by the gallons used to get an accurate millage figure.

Re: Gas mileage question.

Before tunes, I got 250 on front tank in town driving and 25 mile commute to and from work. On a recent trip to San Antonio carrying a bed for my daughter attending college there and staying at 55 mph for fear it may blow out (king size) i was able to get right at 200 miles on half of rear tank. that averaged to about 22 mpg on the trip. I had cruise on and ran 55 the whole way and back. The other half of that tank was gone after another 100 miles of driving back here going to and from to work. .

Re: Gas mileage question.

You really can't go on the half tank theory for fuel mileage. On my truck the rear tank comes off of full in a hurry but will go for a long time on empty and then I can still only put in 15 gallons leaving me 3-4 gallons left in the tank witch has been on empty for quite a while. The front tank will run a long ways on full but when it hits the "E" it is empty.
