truck sputter

this is a littly lenghty to explain but, when i was going down the road at a constant speed the truck jerked a little like it lost power or missed but it only did it once and it was very breif. it felt like a transmission thing but later on it did the same thing again and i was paying attention, and the tach dropped a bit probably like 200 rpms then came right back up like nothing happened. i drove the truck for over an hour after and it never did it again. could it just have been a piece of dirt or something that clogged up then blew through or could it be more than that?
thanks

Possible CPS. Have you changed yours ever? Ever had the recall done on them? Just my $.02.

It'd throw a code, if you have access to a scantool that works on ours.

Re: truck sputter

Bet its the CPS they cost $20-25 at Ford cheap insurance to just replace it. If that doesn't do it then you have a replacement in the glovebox incase for later
