Truck running Hot??

First, I want to thank eveyone for the help when I thought I blew the motor last time.Brian at BTS my hats off to you. I owe you big for staying on the phone and walking me thru everything.#7 injector and I found my IPR was bad and replaced it.
Now I have another issue. It started over flowing coolant out the fill tank on side of radiator.I started by flushing radiator and changing thermostat. I now still have it pressuring up that fill tank and over flowing. It has not ran hot.It will get warmer than normal ,but not Hot.It use to run around the R on the word normal now around the L.This is on the dummy gauge from factory.

Any Ideas what else to check? I also thought it could be a Head gasket is that possible?

Re: Truck running Hot??

well i found my issue last night, it was a clogged radiator, when i say clogged i mean like you couldnt even see through the thing there was so much dust and chit in there. I would check your radiator.

Re: Truck running Hot??

I have heard that a cracked injector cup can allow fuel to pass into the coolant. Most find oil in their water, not diesel.

Re: Truck running Hot??

Ok I replaced the cap with the same as I had a 16#.When I first started the motor I unscrewed old cap and it had some pressure with a little smoky stuff, but no smell of fuel or oil just antifreeze.Let it run and it did continue to build pressure with same smoky looking stuff???? any ideas??

Re: Truck running Hot??

If you are over flowing out the coolant bottle that is not good, then you must have bubbles through the radiator? if so it is most likely a head gasket
