Question Tranny shudder?

I dont know how to explain correctly but the issue is:
When the tranny make changes between gears (more noticeable between 2nd to 3th and to 4th , has a short shake (less than one second) and it is more intense or severe (but not longer) at WOT. I dont know if that is a shudder or not, and what could be the culprit of it: the tranny converter? or the clutches in the tranny?
The tranny changes good and the TC locks fine and when it has to do it. No OD light flashing.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Tranny shudder?

I had a similar problem with a 7.3 and it got worse. Turned out to be clutch plates in mine. It could be a number of things. Driveshaft U-joints can do some weird stuff also if there worn. Good luck

Re: Tranny shudder?

Mine was doing something like that recently and now I'm buying a TC. If it has been a while since you changed the fluid, pull the pan and see if there is any clutch material in there.

the pan doesnt have in the bottom and magnet clutch material, only some sludge that I think is normal.

Thanks for the inputs
