Oil leakin

My truck has developed a pretty bad oil leak at the front of the motor, and the other one is coming from the back of the motor, I'm thinking the one up front is from the timing cover. Is that a big PITA to fix? My Next question is, where is the most likely spot the oil is coming from in the back? I've been told it's the rear main seal, is there anywhere else I should be looking? I get paid thursday and I'm buying the stuff to fix it all this weekend. Thanks for any input.

Re: Oil leakin

Before you go changing the rear main, I would check the valve cover gaskets, the turbo O-rings, and the valley of the engine. If you have an oil/fuel leak in the valley, it will run down the back of the block and make it look like your rear main is leaking. Good luck

Re: Oil leakin

EBPV Or HPOP O rings are probly leaking down the rear. Look in the vally of the motor to see were its coming from.

Re: Oil leakin

What would be involved with the HPOP O rings?

Re: Oil leakin

There are some plugs on the end of the heads that can leak oil. The ones I have fixed were not to bad to do.
