Rough idle, feels like an injector out.

I got a later 94 powerstroke, has a really rough idle and feels like a pretty good miss when i accelerate. feels like an injector out. just had ford place put 4 injectors put in a year ago. i hooked up a snap on scanner and injectors passed buzz test, and only code was ECT or EOC sensor out of range. how do i single out an injector? any help would be appretiated.

Re: Rough idle, feels like an injector out.

If you can hook up the scanner and do a cylinder contribultion test (make sure the truck is warmed up), that may help you figure out which cylinder(s) it could be. You may have a loose poppet screw underneath one of the injector solenoids. Cheers!

Re: Rough idle, feels like an injector out.

Check the 4 harness plugs first to see if you can get the inj to come back by wiggling the plugs. If an injector is dead, you can identify it with the VC off and look for one that is not pumping oil. If you find it, first unplug it to see if it runs any different. If the poppet armature is loose, it may partially disable it or all the way. If its not the armature, then youre going much deeper...
