Up pipes,donuts & misc things

Last time I had my turbo off, the collector was loose. I am figuring it's donut time. I would really like a set of the updated Int'l bellowed up pipes but those are around $900.

So what are my options? Get the brass donuts from Bean? Also anyone know the part number for the OEM up pipes just in case my original ones are cracked or have eroded?

The plan is to remove the trans and tackle the up pipes from underneith rather than lying on top of the engine.

Anything else I should while I'm there?

Oh BTW, my boost has been gradually falling and hearing "shhhhhhhhhhh" by the firewall everytime I get into boost.

Thanks

Billy T.

Re: Up pipes, donuts & misc things

Pulled the transmission, up-pipes, and turbo last weekend. Even with the transmission off, the drivers side up-pipe was difficult to remove. I had to jack the engine up to finally get it to clear between the engine and firewall.

Surprisingly, that donut was still so tight that I'm having difficulty pulling the drivers pipe out of the turbo collector. So i guess I'm going back with the Ford donuts, it lasted 15 years and 110K miles.
