just changed stock injectors out to stage 1s. took forever for the truck to start, now the only way it will run is if u hold it on the floor board and it still barely runs. it is pushing alot of air back to the tank, enuf to make a hissing sound out of the fuel cap. then it tripped the check engine light... please help

Taking forever to start the truck after the swap is normal... It will take a while for all of the air to leave the system. Does it idle at least? I would let it run for a bit and see if it gets better as air works its way out. Not sure on the CEL, Do you have access to a scanner?

the truck wont idle on its own... could it be that my hpop is to wore out or that i need to pull the galley plugs and crank it till oil comes out of them?

Re: truck not running after injector swap. please help

When I did mine before I started it and the glow plugs where still out I cranked it 5 or so times for 20 sec or so in till I had 20 psi oil pressure ( I have my oil pressure gauge mounted on the HPOP res)
That got most of the air out of the heads before I started it.

But if you have excess air in your system that you are hearing air escaping I wonder if you messed up one of the o-rings? What is your fuel pressure like?

If it's hissing air out the fuel cap, than there's likely an o-ring cut or an injector not seated all the way.

How did you make sure you had the injectors seated?

You need a scanner to see what code or codes you've got.

Re: truck not running after injector swap. please help

well we narrowed it dwn to it being 1 of the drivers side injectors seeing how we put the stock ones back inthe passenger side. Jim says one of the injectors probably has a broken internal part letting that cylinder pressurize the fuel system. injectors have new o rings on them
