Injector life

Any idea of the life expency of an OBS injector? Meaning average mileage for some type of injector work ie. o-rings or rebuild.

250,000 +/- miles depending on maitenence.

My orings were shot/replaced at 175,000. Rebuilt at 230,000.

# 5 and # 8 finally went out at the dealer just those two are 375 each I ordered baby swamps from swamps diesel for 1100 shipped and chip for 400.00 call David at swamps he will treat you right

Whoa, you guys are getting a lot more out of yours than I expected. I think my injectors are shot at 99k. I need to look into my rough start up a little more then...

The idle is inconsistent for a 5-10 seconds then flatens out. Maybe rough start isn't the right term?

my 99 was doing that some and i had 2 glow plugs bad and would idle ruff till it warmed up a bit when it was cold out, my 97 wouldnt start when it was 70 out and smoked out a block when it did start had 2xx,xxx miles and all glow plugs were good, harness were good, and relay was good i think it needed injectors.

Well I got the truck in April. One morning it got down in to the 30's and it took like 6 tries to finally get it started. It's been warm since so it's started every time since. I just want my truck to start come fall. When you say ICP, what would that involve? I hope it's just glow plugs. Planning on doing those before it gets cold just as a precaution.
