dash cluster question

Is the milage of the obs trucks stored in the dash cluster or in the pcm and the dash is just used as a display. If I were to chance the cluster would it read my milage of the milage of the used cluster?

Re: dash cluster question

Its behind the speedometer. If you put another speedo in it it will read that mileage not your current one, but you can switch the "memory chip' on them

97 f250 eclb e4od 4x4: p.i.s. 175/80s, built trans, obs/e99 hybrid turbo, t500, .20 over, afe intake, afe 4" straight pipe, comp springs, efuel, sd intercooler, isspro gauges, superchip 1705 because I can't decide between tony wild man or gear head for tunes....
