E4OD Dies in reverse

Sorry guys, im using my phone and for some reason i cant use the search feature with it. Anyway, im rather clueless on automatic transmissions. My truck dies when I put in reverse sometimes, once in awhile when its in drive and im going down the road and hit my brakes it trys to lug down and die, like its a manual and you apply the brakes while its in gear.......its the same effect. Im a little lost, whats the deal? Thanks

Re: E4OD Dies in reverse

from what I've experienced, when trans are rebuilt for some reason or another they always mess up reverse, my buddy's f450 does the same thing. put it in reverse, get on the gas and sometimes it'll just die. i was told that the clutch/syncros aren't put in right or something to that effect.
