Talking 7.3 help CEL no code found

1997 7.3 stroke stock downpipe. I was comming home lastnight the CEL came on the engine was acting like it was running on half the cylinders, realy bad. Came home hooked up the scanner (snap-on 2500) ran through all test and it passes with no codes present, changed IDM, ECM from my other truck that runs. ICP was reading around 800 at idle, no other problems found, I did a wiggle test on all the connections. When it first starts runs fine then the CEL comes on and runs rough, goes off runs fine, back and forth. Can any one HELP PLEASE..

Re: 7.3 help CEL no code found

ICP should be close to 500 at idle, and maybe around 15% duty cycle, you need to check duty cycle too

Checked it again and it is 680 at idle 10%, with the CEL on running rough.

680 still sound slightly high, check it at WOT, and report back, try letting someone drive while you scan

Re: 7.3 help CEL no code found

it will not go to WOT about 2500 rpm is all it will do flat on the floor and that is about 2500 with it running rough, at idle the CEL will go off for 5 to 10 sec and it runs fine then the CEL comes on and it sounds like the drivers side quits firing the injectors but i have checked the wiring and it is good.

Re: 7.3 help CEL no code found

man i really dont know, your beyond what i would have thought. Maybe someone with more knowlage will chip in. Other than that id hate to tell you anymore, i dont wanna send ya on a wild goose chase. My next thing (that i would check) would be a CPS, and the Under Valve Cover harness. Try running the truck and carefully unplug one plug at a time (valve cover gasket plugs, There are 4, 2 on each Valve cover, Facing the valley)see if you can replicate the problem. Im not sure though that bad UVC harness causes a CEL, that why i feel like i might be sending you on a goose chase. I also dont know if that would throw icp off.
