tire psi

just wondering what kind of tire pressure you guys are running in your single wheel f350's.i am running 285's on my truck at 60 psi front and rear.

1997 f350 xlt regular cab 4x4,matercraft courser at2 285's, automatic,1.0 housing,ebpv delete housing and pedestal,tymar intake,diamond eye dp w/4 inch straight pipe,super duty starter,203* tstat

Run what you want until you load the truck up then put more into them. For ride comfort I usually run 60 in the front and 55 in the rear unloaded.

96 F250 XLT 4x4, 4:10 gears, 5 speed, Tymar intake and HX hose, downpipe, pyro and boost guages, coolant filter, Luc clutch

Check the decal on the door jamb. F350/straight axle may be different, but on the F250/TTB, front MAX is 55 psi.

that is how i was taught to check tires 50 years ago, and i have never had any problems with tire wear using that method.
