oil pan gasket leaking again!!!

I have a 97 F350 260K 5spd. I have been reading this forum for the past year and did everything right when I sealed the pan. I pulled the motor, flipped it upside down, cleaned everything with brake cleaner, and used the gray ford sealer. I have started the truck three times since putting motor back in. No leaks the first two times. Today it developed a massive oil leak rear and moderate one at the front, nothing on the sides. Only mods are 3in down pipe and ebpv delete. Any ideas??

Re: oil pan gasket leaking again!!!

Mains are good. I was thinking plugged CCV. I flipped the oil cap and it just vibrated off. I have been seeing some white smoke from dipstick and filler cap if I remove it. It just sucks I have to pull the motor again to reseal the pan.

Brad I have been watching your build. Awesome truck.

Re: oil pan gasket leaking again!!!

It sounds like either you have/had a blockage in the CCV or perhaps you had just enough pressure to find two locations where perhaps the sealer didn't adhere to the block or the pan. Are you sure that the surfaces were free of contamination when you sealed it? If there was any residual brake cleaner present then the sealer will not adhere to the surface.

Re: oil pan gasket leaking again!!!

I cleaned it multiple times and used compressed air to blow it dry. I don't know what went wrong. I'm hoping I can find blockage in the CCV.
