totaled truck

it was a horrible day last week a woman pulled out in front of me and it totaled my 97 f250 and her van. she is lucky to be alive im glad she is gonna be ok. she got the ticket. I am gonna try to get the truck back as a part of the deal with the insurance i am about positive the frame is bent and most of the damage is on the drives front left i was gonna salvage the motor it has not dripped nothing expect antifreeze since the radiator got busted. do you guys think the motor is ok? man im gonna miss that truck(

Re: totaled truck

It dont look that bad. I'm sure the insurance company will total it, but you may be able to buy it back cheap enough and take what they give you and fix it
I would say 3/4 nose, door and frame pull. About a 5k bill

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

Re: totaled truck

alright thanks for the info guys. i most likely will part it out. Unless i could found a ford with no motor and put it in it. it just rolled over to 100,000. I have herd good and bad things about frame machines. Will they ever be the same if the frame is straighten up?

IF the frame is straightened it will be fine, BUT if they get it "close" it will be fuked.

When i worked at the body shop, I did the frames. If we could not get it to spec, it got a new frame, or we totaled it

Re: totaled truck

alright thanks for the info. i guess it would be a big pain in the ass to get a frame and swap everything over.. i will defiantly get a body man to estimate it before i part it out. that's if i get it back at a reasonable price.

Re: totaled truck

A frame is not that big of a deal. But FINDING a SCSB frame will be the challenge

I do not know where you are located but I have a frame if you are set on changing it out. I am parting the truck so I could sell you the carcus. Hood; both front fenders and I can come up with the rest of the stuff!
