Question 7.3 first startup

my 96 obs powerstroke's engine was worn out and I found a guy with an engine for $600. I have it all put in and buttoned up, about ready to fire off but the engine hasn't been ran in about 2 years it turns over freely with a wrench on the crank bolt (haven't tried the starter yet) but is there anything special I should do before I actually try to start it?

Thanks

Re: 7.3 first startup

If you can crank it over until you get good oil pressure to the turbo, injectors, hpop ext. I think you can pull the maxi fuse for the computer. Good oil pressure to the engine after sitting should keep anything from sticking on first start up.
