Unhappy '95 NO throttle response...

Hey guys, brand new here to this forum, looks like a pretty informative place! I have a '90 bricknose CC DRW with a '95 PSD in it. I just bought this truck a week ago and everything has been working great. I was driving it today and every seemed normal, got home and changed the coolant temp sensor and also installed a mechanical boost gauge in the MAP sensor line. The truck sat for about an hour. Not I go to starti t and it fires right up, but absolutely nothing in the fuel pedal. I shut it off after wiggling the plug and some wires and started it again, everything fine but still nothing for throttle response at all. I am at a loss as to what to do now. This truck has the electronic pedal and is a ZF5 if that helps at all...

Re: '95 NO throttle response...

Pedal sensor, or possibly the idle validation switch on the pedal. Test 'em both with an ohmmeter, or better yet if possible, hook up a scanner / data reader that's capable of reading OBS PSDs (they did wire in the OBD port I hope....). You don't even need the engine running; just the key in RUN, push the pedal, you should see TPS % go up steadily, and see the IVS go from 0 to 1 (open to closed) just after starting to press on the pedal.

Re: '95 NO throttle response...

OK, thanks for the info. I am figuring it to be the TPS. I thought this was more of a common issue with these trucks and thought there would be more response here. Maybe it is a pretty isolated problem...
