Re: What is the act sensor?

So by the looks of things you have a bad CPS(change that immediately). You also have a map sensor issue(check for cracked or broken map hose line from passenger intake plenum to map sensor first). Check the IAT and make sure it is there. If you didn't install the CAI then it is possible the person who did removed the sensor.

Re: What is the act sensor?

Where is that iat sensor? Would that explain the hiccups my truck has an the poor fuel mileage. Also do you know the ford part number for these things?

Re: What is the act sensor?

The IAT is going to be over by the driver side fender where the air box used to be. I haven't a clue what the ford part numbers are. For the IAT just pick one up at any parts store if you need it. If you actually need a map sensor I would try to source one from a wrecking yard first as they are pricey. For the CPS go to Ford or International to get it unless one of the vendors on here still has them available.

Re: What is the act sensor?

No it won't like mentioned above but you can temporarily unplug the electrical connector and it will run on a default value in order to see if it is actually bad. If the MAP sensor is bad and you run it with it unplugged it will run better.
