Broke my Programmer, now what??

Broke the screen on my old Micro Max Superchips programmer so now I'm stuck in performance mode-such as it is. This is fine but if I ever want to switch to a different programmer, I need to flash the truck back to stock and can't now.
Any tips on how I can get this thing flashed back to stock?

Re: Broke my Programmer, now what??

You could take it to ford and have the computer refashed. Be about 50-100$. But then the programmer would not work do to the programing not going back to stock for the superchips.

A little more work but if you could get your hands on a spare PCM and throw it in till you can fix the programmer, that would work also.

Put a ts 6 pos chip in, then it doesn't matter what's on the PCM.

I contacted Thoroughbred Diesel and they said I need to flash it back to stock before I can install a TS. I'm not worried about flashing it again with the SC as I can't read the screen so it's going into the garbage as they won't fix it and want $300 for the closest thing which is an Edge Evo.
Looks like I'm gonna have to go to Ford and bend over before I go with the TS.

They are full of ####.....

The pcm doesnt care what tune is on there as the chip will override it.

Find a paying site sponsor that actually knows these trucks before going with a cheaper place.....

I didn't just go with a cheaper place. I did a google search for Powerstroke programmers and Thoroughbred was one of the first that came up. I didn't even think about vendors on here to be honest.

I sent an email to TS Perf. We will see what they say.

It doesn't matter what's on the PCM.
As rob said, the chip totally over rides what is flashed on the PCM.
Don't call TS, call one of the tuners in robs link.
Swamps, Php, beans, etc etc etc.

Myself, I liked swamps tunes on my stock 5 speed truck, but have tried a few different tuners, and they are ALL better than the stock TS tunes.
