Truck dies when you hit the horn an wants to dies around 2500rpm

Well, after I changed my lift pump my truck started dieing when you hit the horn. It also has a hiccup at around 2000-2500rpm range. What could it be I have no check engine light or codes .

If the truck dies when you hit the horn, what does it do when you turn on the head lights? The only correlation between the horn and the engine dying would be that the alternator is either not charging the batteries or the batteries are bad or have poor connections and the draw from the horn is pulling too many amps/volts away from the pcm/idm causing the truck to stall out.

It runs like a champ even with the headlights on. I have tested my charging system it checked out fine.

Well the only thing I can possibly think of that could cause your horn to kill the truck then would be some sort of a short in the horn system. The horn ring is negative side activated which then energizes a relay that then sends 12 volts to the horn. The horn is grounded by its mounting bracket. I would check to see if there is some sort of wiring fiasco under the dash somewhere.

Do either/both horns work?
