OBS XL Cruise Control

My boss has a 1996 F250 XL package with no cruise control. I officially installed cruise control on his truck today and everything works like it should. The parts needed:
Cruise control wheel pad
Master cylinder with cruise control plug

It was really that easy, I installed the pad which took one minute, installed the new master cylinder, found the wire for the master cylinder plug. The wire for the plug is plugged into a dummy plug right behind the fuse box. I then bled the breaks, took if for a test drive and voila, it works like a champ. All in all it cost about 50 dollars at the junk yard for both parts and about an hour of my time.

1996 F-350 cclb, H2E, e-fuel, srp1.1, custom tuning, banks intercooler, 3 in plenums, swamps babies, ARP's, comp 910's, Isspro EV2's, rsk v/c codes, 5 inch exhaust, king ranch seats, SD 10.5 axle, swamps idm, 6.0 fan, international w/p, hydroboost, SD trans lines, 6.0 trans cooler,6.0 P.S. pump

Awesome now i know what it should take to do on my 97 xl since the aftermarket cruise that was in it when i got it doesnt work

Daily 2002 F-250 Lariat CCSB 4x4 7.3L 356,000. 4" turbo back, DI 6 position, ebpv delete, 6637 intake, ATS stage 2, bellowed up-pipes, inline spin-on trans filter, plate/fin trans cooler, boost, pyro, IAT temp gauges.

Wife's 2000 Excursion Limited 7.3 4x4 straight pipe, CAI, ATS Stage 2, GTP38R, T-500, PHP Hydra, boost, pyro, trans Gauges.

That dummy plug was probably a jumper that would have completed the circuit and allowed the cruise to work with the original master cylinder. But your way is safer; that switch kills the cruise even when the brake light fuse fails.

Yeah, I was thinking about jumping it, but it looks way cleaner with the correct master cylinder, and it was cheap anyway.
