Brakes Problem

Well I was driving my truck back from lunch today and my brake pedal got really stiff and i had to put a decent amount of pressure on it to get it to stop. I also noticed lately that sometimes my abs light stays on for longer than normal and also sometimes coming to a stop my rear brakes would lock up. Not sure if the second part is really part of my problems but i dunno. Any ideas what it could be?

Re: Brakes Problem

vacuum pump is either going out or gone out, better act quick or you'll be walking cause it will leave you stranded.

Re: Brakes Problem

I agree vaccum pump is going out. It is still making enough vaccum to run controls but not to help with braking.

Vacuum pump is failing. Replace it before you have bigger issues.
