So I've got a 97 F250HD with the Dana 50 I pulled the rotor and hub off together but cannot get them apart. My new rotors dont have studs for the wheel nuts so im guessing they pull apart and the new rotors connect to the hub. How do you do this? Do i have to have the old rotors pressed off and the new ones pressed on ?
As for the wheel studs take a lug nut and put on each stud until flush with top of stud then take a hammer and drive them out, after that put them in new rotor and use an air impact to drive nut down on stud to press it into the new rotor. No special tools required. As for the hub from rotor you can see a split between them if take a chisel or punch and drive it in between them. You will have to do some serious beating to get them spit apart if they havent been off in awhile but it should come apart some what easily with a 2 pound sledge hammer. Hope that helps
