ANOTHER no start

Well I dropped my truck of at the window tint shop the other day. Tinter called today and says tint is done BUT truck stalled in garage and will not start.

Quick ran over with scanner to check RPM. Fuel pressure etc. BUT the scanner is saying no communication. It is a snap-on 2500 and it DID work on this truck.

NOW, I was fixing a cigaret ligher wiring issue on sunday before I dropped truck of, so I dont know if I blew the fuse. What Number and amp is that?

Also, what pin in the OBD connector is 12v for the scanner? (From left to right and top or bottom row)

Also, what amp is Fuse #22?

And What plug on the fuel bowl is for the heater?

Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get the truck out of the tinters driveway

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

The fuse for the Data Link is #16 and it is a 15 amp fuse in the cab, top right hand side.
OBD hot pin is pin 16 on the connector, lower right hand side.
Fuse #22 is a 20 amp maxi under the hood
And here are a couple of pictures, one of the fuel filter bowl and a pdf of the Data Connector.

Re: ANOTHER no start

Sounds like you need to swap out the PCM. Or check the power and pin posistions on the PCM.

How is fuse #9 under the hood that feeds the PCM?

Re: ANOTHER no start

Just to double back, do you know anyone else with an OBS PSD, that you can try the scanner on their truck? Just in case something did happen with the scanner in the interim. IIRC, it needs the K2 vehicle-specific "key", right? Maybe the brick itself is okay, but something happened with the key.

Re: ANOTHER no start

Yup. K2. I thought same thing. Plugged it into my ranger and it communicates

Re: ANOTHER no start

But your Ranger is more forgiving; it'll communicate with anything that speaks OBD-II. To be sure, you need to try to talk to another OBS PSD. It's unlikely that's the problem, and of course is unrelated to the no-start, but you also don't want to be chasing your tail over a comm issue.

Truck doesn't have a chip, does it?

Re: ANOTHER no start

Does have a chip and when the scanner is plugged in, the chip numbers keep rotating thru like when you 1st start the truck(dp tuner)
