NOW, I was fixing a cigaret ligher wiring issue on sunday before I dropped truck of, so I dont know if I blew the fuse. What Number and amp is that?
Also, what pin in the OBD connector is 12v for the scanner? (From left to right and top or bottom row)
Also, what amp is Fuse #22?
And What plug on the fuel bowl is for the heater?
Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get the truck out of the tinters driveway
The fuse for the Data Link is #16 and it is a 15 amp fuse in the cab, top right hand side. OBD hot pin is pin 16 on the connector, lower right hand side.
Fuse #22 is a 20 amp maxi under the hood
And here are a couple of pictures, one of the fuel filter bowl and a pdf of the Data Connector.
Just to double back, do you know anyone else with an OBSPSD, that you can try the scanner on their truck? Just in case something did happen with the scanner in the interim. IIRC, it needs the K2 vehicle-specific "key", right? Maybe the brick itself is okay, but something happened with the key.
But your Ranger is more forgiving; it'll communicate with anything that speaks OBD-II. To be sure, you need to try to talk to another OBSPSD. It's unlikely that's the problem, and of course is unrelated to the no-start, but you also don't want to be chasing your tail over a comm issue.
