pcm question

Can anybody tell me if a pcm out of an automatic truck work in a standard transmission truck ?

Yes It will work. I have an auto pcm as a spare for my Ford. If it is like mine, when you start it it will lope really bad for about ten seconds then come to a idle at about 500 rpms, it will have a very touchy throttle but is still drivable. If you have a chip for a manual, the chip will override the pcm and it will act like a pcm for a manual.

97 ford f-350 Powerstroke

At start up the PCM will look for info from the TRS , thats why it will lope ..It will work in a pinch ...
